The Madison lets you work with a wedding catering team. They offer intimate Washington DC weddings to large receptions.

Mandarin Oriental ceremony and reception settings include their ballrooms, lawn, and gallery.

The inside of the hotel has gorgeous chandeliers and crown moldings. You can also get married by the marina.

Four Seasons Hotel has a "Winter Wedding" package in January or February in the evenings.

It includes a consultant, a variety of settings, champagne or sparkling mineral water, champagne toast, hors d'oeuvres, reception platters, and an overnight stay for the bride and groom for $145+ per person (subject to change).

The Saturday package includes items from the winter package, and adds on a custom wedding cake, plated dessert, personalized amenities, and more at $175+ per person (subject to change).

They also have a "Love is Love" package for between $165 and $195 per person (price can change), and a "Friday or Sunday" package starting at $155 per person (subject to change).

The Hotel George lets you have a boutique hotel wedding ceremony and reception with different venues to choose from.

Churchill Hotel is an historic hotel for couples who want an intimate wedding in either the Chartwell Grill or the Kalorama Room.



Washington DC Marriage Laws

A valid driver's license and birth certificate are required to apply for a marriage license. You do not have to be a resident of DC, and there is no specific time limit once a license is issued.

The bride and groom (both) have to apply for the license in person and pay the fee in cash. There is a 5 day waiting period.

If one person is widowed or divorced, a divorce or death decree is needed.

You need a medical exam for venereal disease which is valid for 30 days but no blood test.

Both applicants must be 18 years of age. If under age 18 parental consent is required, and they must be at least 16 years of age and show proof of age.
