Hawaii Marriage Laws

The bride and groom must apply for the marriage license in person by filling out an application. The license is issued immediately and valid for 30 days throughout the state.

You'll need 2 forms of id (driver's license, birth certificate, US passport, armed forces ID card, resident alien ID card).

You must be at least 16 years of age to marry. Males and females under age 18 need written consent from both parents, legal guardians or the family court.

Applicants under the age of 19 need to present a certified copy of a birth certificate to the marriage license agent and may also need to present their driver's license.

You do not have to be a resident or a US citizen of Hawaii, no blood tests are needed, and there are no proxy marriages.
